Recovery of Copper and Cyanide from Copper-cyanide Solution by Direct Electrolysis

نویسندگان

چکیده

Using direct electrolysis method, the recovery of copper and cyanide from high concentration solution was researched. The distribution species calculated by stability constants balance equation. results showed that cupric ion confirmed to generate at low potential (<0.4V) on titanium electrode coated with iridium tantalum oxides during process, which led oxidation precipitate obtained anode proved be hydroxide XRD potential. recovered electrowinning, increased increasing temperature, reached 80% 70°C; but loss serious, free significantly lower than original value.

Copper and Cyanide Recovery in Cyanidation Effluents

Cyanidation is the main process for gold and silver recovery from its ores. In this study, a process is proposed to recover copper and cyanide from barren solutions from the Merrill-Crowe cementation process with zinc dust. This technology is based on inducing nucleated precipitation of copper and silver in a serpentine reactor, using sodium sulfide as the precipitator, and sulfuric acid for pH...

The first precise molecular structure of a monomeric transition metal cyanide, copper(I) cyanide.

Copper(I) cyanide is an important reagent in organic, organometallic, and supramolecular chemistry because of both the copper center and the versatile cyanide ligand. Solid-phase CuCN and many of its derivatives show oligomeric or polymeric structures, a trait shared by other metal cyanides. Often, it is difficult to specify the orientation of the cyano ligand in an X-ray structure. Here the fi...

Molecular Modeling of Photoluminescent Copper(i) Cyanide Materials

Studies show that solid copper(I) cyanide has interesting photoluminescent properties. Recent work has shown that the UV spectrum of CuCN may be attributed to Laporte-allowed excitations from occupied to unoccupied π-type molecular orbitals (MOs). The emission spectrum is attributed to the relaxation from an excited state triplet with a bent structure due to distortions that remove degeneracies...

Reversible luminescent reaction of amines with copper(I) cyanide.

Copper(i) cyanide exposed to various liquid or vapor-phase amines (L) at ambient temperature produces a variety of visible photoluminescence colors via reversible formation of amine adducts. The adducts show phase matches to authentic (CuCN)L(n), n = 0.75-2.0, produced by heating CuCN with liquid amine.

Triphenylene based copper ensemble for the detection of cyanide ions.

The binding behavior of triphenylene based copper ensemble prepared in situ has been investigated toward various anions (F(-), Cl(-), Br(-), I(-), CH(3)COO(-), H(2)PO(4)(-), NO(3)(-), OH(-), ClO(4)(-), CN(-), CO(3)(-) and SO(4)(-)) by UV-vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. Among various anions tested, 1-Cu(2+) ensemble shows selective and sensitive response towards cyanide ions and responds to C...
